공장 아이다 셋케이(Aida Sekkei)의 새로운 공장 계획은 목재 프리컷(precutting)에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 그 콘셉트는 일련의 목재 가공 과정을 그대로 구현하는 건축을 만들어내는 데 있다. 공장 내부에는 약 100미터 길이의 유리로 둘러싸인 부유하는 통로가 마련되어, 방문객이 프리컷 공정 전체를 가까이에서 관찰할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 사무동은 목조 주택의 부자재로 흔히 쓰이는 페더 에지(feather edge) 재료로 제작한 트러스를 활용한 대공간을 특징으로 한다. 이 디자인은 모든 요소를 통합하여 쇼케이스형 공장을 완성하며, 모든 측면에서 가시성과 미적 매력을 강조한다.
